Some Amazing Statistics about our International Work

Now in its 79th year CEF® continues to grow and reach children in the USA and internationally.
More than 19 million children received a clear presentation of the Gospel in 2015.  Every year for the past eight years CEF® has trained more than a quarter of a million people to do children's ministry.

Interesting Facts about the Louisiana Chapter

Over the past 5 years, there have been 60 Afterschool Good News Clubs® in our state. The club enrollment totaled 4,200 children.

Currently there are 22 active school clubs with 804 children meeting each week. About 100 staff and volunteers are taking prayer and the Bible into Louisiana schools.

From 2009 to 2013, CEF® workers and volunteers reached another 530 children through Good News Clubs® in homes, church outreach programs, community centers, family shelters, and day cares.

Every summer over 300 mission-minded youth are trained to lead clubs. Two camps are held in our state. Summer Missionary Institute of Training and Evangelism (S.M.I.T.E camp) is held in the Baton Rouge area. The Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA™) summer missions camp is held at Camp Pearl just north of Lake Charles.

S.M.I.T.E. and CYIA™ summer missionaries reached 44,450 children in 1,684 5-Day Clubs® during the past five summers. Since 2010 S.M.I.T.E. teams have been conducting an intensive 5-Day Club® Blitz in New Orleans. Teams of 3-4 teens lead 3 or 4 clubs a day during the Blitz to reach thousands of children in the city every summer.
